Advent Week 4: Youngest Students’ Reflection
In this final week of Advent, Great Commission Christian School some of the youngest students in 1st-3rd grade shared what they thought about the word “love” and what it means as we get closer to the time when we remember Jesus Christ’s birth.
“Jesus helps us to love our family and friends. Christmas helps us learn about Jesus, because He was born on that day. Christmas helps us be kind.”
“Jesus’ love is ‘ultra’ because He came down to us to show us that He understands the situation we are in, and it’s crazy because He came down and said, ‘I want to be a human,’ and did that for US!”
“Jesus came down to us, and knew He was going to die one day – but He still did it to save us from our sins. He didn’t leave Mary to be alone when He died, either – he said that John should be Mary’s new son. That shows love.”
