Bad Bug Blog

There are new bad bugs that we have to stop, the bad bugs are the Spotted Lanternfly. These bugs are invasive and kill trees, so if you see one kill it as fast as you can. Don't try to grab them from the back because they will jump or fly away, you should use a stick to hit it off walls, trees, or plants.

The bad bugs have a life cycle like a butterfly but they kill the plants that the butterfly polinates. The egg laying is from April to June, and the fourth instar is July through August.

The Spotted Lanternfly is an invasive bug from China and needs to stay there. We must do our best to stop them from spreading. We must not use harmful substances because they might kill indigenous predators.

Try your best to kill as many as possible.  These bugs have spread to New York, New Jersey, and many other states.  We have to do as much as possible together.
